• 3 pounds beef tenderloin steak(8 filet mignons each 1/2 inch thick)
• 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
• 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
• 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
• 8 ounces mushrooms, thinly sliced (about 3 cups)
• 2 tablespoons finely chopped shallot
• 4 cloves garlic, minced
• 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
• 1 package (17.3 ounces) Pepperidge Farm® Puff Pastry Sheets(2 sheets), thawed according to package directions
• 1/2 cup crumbled gorgonzola cheese
• 1 egg, beaten
