Indian Bread - Corn Pone - Ancestors in Aprons
Corn pone comes from what the early settlers in New England called Indian Bread. They were introduced by Indians to the use of corn meal.

- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup lard (or butter)
- 1/2 cup sour milk (or buttermilk)
- 3/4 cups water (boiling)
