- 1 tablespoon butter at room temperature
- 1/2 pound bacon, ground pork sausage or veggie sausage
- 1/2 10- ounce package frozen spinach, thawed and well drained
- 3/4 cups Swiss or Swiss Emmentaler cheese, shredded
- 5 eggs
- 1/2 cup cream or half and half
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
