Ingredients

  • ½ cup dry white beans (or 90 g)
  • ½ cup dry chickpeas (or 100 g)
  • ½ cup wheat kernels (or 170 g)
  • ½ cup grits (or 85 g)
  • 1 onion
  • 2 tbsp oil (ideally canola)
  • 4 potatoes, cut into quarters
  • 3-6 garlic cloves
  • ¼ cup soy sauce (or 60 g), or 1 tsp salt, or 1-2 tbsp of vegan broth or stock powder
  • 1 tbsp date syrup (not essential)
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt
