Caramel nut bars. They have a shortbread crust with a gooey middle and shortbread topping. ( I made with half caramel and half butterscotch chips, but recipe calls for all caramel.)
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 3/4 cup cold butter( 1/2 cup first crust and topping, 1/4 cup for filling)
- 1/2 cup toasted nuts, optional)
- 1 1/2 cups caramel nibs, or combo of butterscotch and caramel.
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
