Dad's Special Chilli | Recipe | Simply Beef & Lamb

Ingredients

• 450g lean braising or stewing beef cubes
• 1-2 tablespoons sunflower oil
• 450g onions, peeled and finely chopped
• 2 garlic cloves, peeled and crushed
• 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1 teaspoon ground cumin
• 1 teaspoon dried oregano
• 1 tablespoon red chilli flakes
• 1 small red pepper, deseeded and roughly chopped
• 100g mushrooms, sliced
• 2 x 400g cans red kidney beans
• 2 x 400g cans chopped tomatoes
• 2 tablespoons tomato pureé
• Dash Worcestershire sauce
• 100g good quality plain chocolate, broken into small pieces
• Freshly chopped flat-leaf parsley, to garnish
