- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk (warm)
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 egg
- 1 lb ground beef (or lamb for a more traditional flavor)
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, peeled and finely chopped
- 1/4 cup pine nuts (optional, but adds a nice texture)
- 1/2 teaspoon allspice
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Salt to taste
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
