Ingredients: 3 large eggs; 200 gr. of softened butter; 3/4 cups of sugar + 1/2 cup for meringue; 2 cups of flour* (keep 1/2 extra if need be); 2 tsp of vanilla extract or vanilla sugar; 1/2 tsp of baking soda (mix it with a tiny amount of vinegar or lemon); pinch of salt; 3 small apples and/or 10-15 large strawberries (400g)
