• 1 tablespoon (12g) sugar
• 1/2 teaspoon Pinch of fine sea salt
• 1/4 cup (46g) vegetable shortening
• 3/4 cup (170g) cold, unsalted butter, cubed
• 1/2 cup (118ml) ice water
• 1 tablespoon (15ml) apple cider vinegar
• egg wash (1 egg whisked with 1 tablespoon of water)
• 3/4 cup (about 1 link) cooked, crumbled Italian turkey sausage (or any sausage of your choice)
• 1 cup (38g) chopped fresh spinach
• 1 cup (113g) shredded mozarella cheese
• 1/4 cup (57g) ricotta cheese
• 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
• 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
• 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1/8 teaspoon pepper
