- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup very hot water
- 9 Nellie's Free Range Eggs, whites only
- 2 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 3 cups (6 sticks) Nellie's Free Range Salted Butter, softened slightly but still cool
- 2 tablespoons strawberry preserves
- 2 ounces semisweet chocolate
- 2 teaspoons light corn syrup
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 3 sugar cones
- Cherries or strawberries (optional)
