Hearty Winter Barley and Butterbean Stew - SuperValu

Ingredients

• 2 - Bay Leaves
• 1 pinch Black Pepper
• 2 medium Carrots cut into bit-sized pieces
• 4 slices Crusty Bread to serve
• 3 cloves Garlic chopped
• 0.5 - Lemon juice only
• 1 - Onion roughly chopped
• 200 g Pearl Barley
• 1 pinch Salt
• 1 pinch SuperValu Chilli Flakes (optional)
• 2 sprig SuperValu Fresh Thyme leaves stripped
• 800 g SuperValu Goodness Butter Beans drained and rinsed
• 3 medium SuperValu Leek cut into bite-sized pieces (including the green bits)
• 2 tbsp SuperValu Oil
• 4 - Tomatoes roughly chopped
• 2.5 litre Vegetable Stock
• 150 ml White Wine
