- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, plus more, to taste, for dusting a work surface
- ***For the custard:***
- 4 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 10 cups tart apples, peeled and sliced
- ***For the cinnamon topping:***
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup cold butter
