Ingredients

  • 250 g sarson (fresh mustard leaves washed and trimmed)
  • 250 g spinach (palak, washed and chopped)
  • 1 tbsp ginger (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp garlic (chopped)
  • 1 green chilies (chopped)
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1.5 cup water
  • 2 tbsp sorghum flour (Usually maize flour is used. I did not have maize flour and hence sorghum flour is used.)
  • salt (to taste)
  • onion (for garnishing)
  • butter (for garnishing)
  • 2 tbsp ghee (clarified butter)
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
  • 1 onion (finely chopped)
  • 3 garlic (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp ginger (finely chopped)
  • 1 green chili (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tbsp butter
