Festive white chocolate trifle with fresh plums and peaches

Ingredients

• 8 peaches, ripe but firm, extra for serving
• 1 bottle sparkling apple or grape juice
• 1 cup castor sugar
• 300 ml double cream
• 8 cardamom pods, lightly bruised
• 600 g white chocolate, finely chopped
• 225 g soft unsalted butter, extra for tins
• 225 g castor sugar
• 2 tsp vanilla extract
• ½ tbsp vanilla extract
• 200 g plain flour
• 25 g cornflour
• 3 tsp baking powder Pinch of salt
• 4 large eggs
• 1-2 peaches, sliced
• 1-2 plums, sliced
• gold glitter and whipped cream for serving
