• 1 ½ tsp vanilla extract
• 4-5 tbsp milk
• 125g plain flour
• 1 ½ tsp baking powder
• 100g flaked almonds
• 250g strawberries to serve (optional)
• 2 egg yolks (freeze the whites for another recipe)
• 2 tbsp caster sugar
• 1 tbsp cornflour
• 100ml whole milk
• 350ml double cream
• 1 tbsp rum or vanilla extract
