- 1 teaspoon cardamom seeds
- 3 star anise
- 3 strips orange rind
- Pistachio buttercake
- 2 cups (250g) pistachisos, coarsely chopped
- 185 grams butter, softened
- 1 tablespoon finely grated orange rind
- 3/4 cup (165g) caster sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1/4 cup (60ml) buttermilk
- 1 1/2 cup (225g) self-raising flour
- 3/4 cup (110g) plain flour
