Pumpkin Pecan Cake with Maple Glaze – Gewürzhaus

Ingredients

• 2 eggs
• ¾ cup buttermilk
• 187g unsalted butter
• 3 tsp Gewürzhaus Pumpkin Pie Spice
• 2 cups self-raising flour, sifted
• ¾ cup packed light or dark brown sugar
• 1 tsp salt
• ½ cup pecans, chopped plus extra for decorating
• 600-800g pumpkin, to make 1 cup pumpkin puree or mashed pumpkin
• ¼ cup pure maple syrup, use real maple syrup for best results
• Juice of ½ a lemon
• ½ tbsp melted butter
