- Spare ribs 2-3 strips New Zealand pork spare ribs (about 2kg), each cut in half
- Pork 2 tablespoons light soy sauce
- Pork 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- Pork 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- Pork 2 tablespoons runny honey
- Pork 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
- Pork 4-5cm pieces fresh ginger, peeled and grated
- Pork 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- Pork 1 teaspoon Chinese five spice powder
- Pork ½ teaspoon dried red chilli flakes
