- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 2/3 cup sugar, granulated
- 2/3 cup butter, softened
- 1 1/4 cups water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- *BUTTERCREAM FROSTING*
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 to 3 cups confectioners' sugar (depending on stiff you want it)
- 2 to 3 tablespoons milk (or as needed)
