- 1 medium onion, diced into medium pieces
- 2 tablespoons olive or avocado oil
- 1 to 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning, jarred OR homemade (recipe below)
- 1 cup water
- 2 1/2 tablespoons sea salt
- 1 tablespoon oregano
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
