Almond Tartlets

Ingredients

• 1 1/2 cups Flour
• 1/2 cup Sugar
• 1/4 teaspoon Salt
• 1 Orange zest grated
• 4 tablespoon Butter cubed
• 4 tablespoons Shortening can use lard
• 1 Egg white whisked till frothy
• 1 12-oz can Almond paste crumbled
• 6 tablespoon Unsalted butter
• 1 Egg
• 1 Egg yolk
• 1 teaspoon Vanilla
• 1 teaspoon Orange zest
• 1/4 cup Apricot preserves
• 1 cup Confectioners Sugar
