• 250 ml buttermilk
• 1 pkg dry active yeast (8g)
• 1 L all-purpose flour, plus extra for surface dusting
• 5 ml ground nutmeg
• 2 ml salt
• 125 ml pure maple syrup
• 10 ml maple extract
• 2 eggs
• 120 ml unsalted butter, softened and divided
• 125 ml brown sugar
• 15 ml ground cinnamon
• 1 pkg. (250 g/8 oz) plain cream cheese, softened
• 125 ml icing sugar, sifted
• 30 ml pure maple syrup
