Peking Pork With Crispy Noodles | Asian Inspirations
This crispy and flavorful Peking pork is served atop golden, crunchy noodles with fresh green beans and vibrant capsicum. This recipe won the Cook Snap Win 2025
Ingredients
- 400g pork loin, cut into 1/2inch thick slices
- 150g green beans, chopped into 1cm slices
- 1/2 red capsicum, diced into 1cm pieces
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 1/2 cups oil for frying
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp Shaoxing (Chinese cooking wine)
- 2 tbsp water
- 1/4 tsp white pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup flour
- 2 tbsp cornflour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 tbsp oil
- 5 tbsp Chinese red vinegar
- 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
- 4 tbsp ketchup
- 1 1/2 tbsp Lee Kum Kee Hoisin Sauce
- 4 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp cornflour mixed with 1 tbsp water (slurry)
- 200g fresh chow mein noodles
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- Toasted sesame seeds
- Red chilli, thinly sliced (optional)
