- 3/4 cup diced strawberries
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (more if needed)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup diced rhubarb
- 1 egg (separated)
- 1 stick of unsalted butter (chilled and cut into chunks)
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup buttermilk (I have also used yogurt!)
- 1-2 teaspoons of milk
