- 150g raisins
- 150g golden sultanas
- 100g currants
- 2 medium apples, unpeeled and coarsely grated
- 60g flaked almonds
- 60g soft brown sugar
- 3ml mixed spice
- 3ml ground ginger
- Grated rind and juice of 1 orange
- Grated rind and juice of 1 lemon
- 50g butter, melted
- 60ml brandy
- 100g good quality dark chocolate, chopped into small pieces (optional)
