Dad’s Christmas Eve Special Venison Chili | but Lola does

Ingredients

• 1 lb sirloin tips, cubed
• 1 lb pork, cubed (I use loin)
• 1 lb venison (I use shoulder or loin)
• 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
• 1/2 small yellow onion, finely diced (I usually just throw in a couple tablespoons of dried onion)
• 2 large cans whole tomatoes
• 1 small can tomato paste
• 32 oz broth (beef or chicken is fine)
• 2 cans pinto beans, drained & rinsed (You may also use 1 lb dry beans, soaked overnight)
• 1 Tbsp ancho chili powder
• 1/2 Tbsp smoked paprika
• 2 sprigs sage
• 1 sprigs thyme
• 1 dash oregano
• other herbs to taste
