- 1 tablespoon salt
- 2 pounds ground beef, highest fat content available - 80/20
- 2 ounces ground lamb fat (optional)*
- 3 teaspoons Jerusalem spice blend
- 2 teaspoons ground coriander
- 1 ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ cup neutral oil (like canola, sunflower or grapeseed)
- 4 large onions, finely chopped
- Canola or Sunflower Oil, for deep frying
