Ingredients

• ½ tsp sesame seeds
• 1 x 225g sirloin steak
• 1 tbsp cornflour, plus 1 tsp
• 1½-2 tbsp vegetable oil
• 40g light brown soft sugar
• 3 tbsp dark soy sauce
• 1 garlic clove, finely grated
• 4cm piece ginger, finely grated
• pinch of chilli flakes (optional)
• 3 spring onions, whites and greens separated, then sliced
• 1 x 250g pack pak choi, halved lengthways
• cooked rice, to serve
