Ingredients

• 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
• 1 1/4 cup packed dark brown sugar
• 1/3 cup molasses
• 1 large egg
• 1 tbsp vanilla extract
• 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 tbsp ground ginger
• 1 tsp ground cinnamon
• 1/2 tsp ground cloves
• 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
• 1/2 tsp baking powder
• 1/2 tsp baking soda
• 1/2 tsp fine sea salt
• 1/4 cup heavy cream
• Gingerbread Man Cookie Cutter (you will flip it upside down to make reindeer)
• Sanding sugar in gold and red
• Icing of choice (see sugar cookie glaze below)
• 2 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar (sifted)
• 2 tbsp milk or water
• 2 tbsp light corn syrup
• 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (or almond extract, depending on your preference)
• food coloring (black,brown, pink, red, and green.)
