• ½ tsp ground cumin
• 1 tsp chili powder
• ½ tsp curry powder
• 1 tsp sugar
• ½ tsp salt
• 2 bay leaves
• 1 star anise
• 3 cloves
• 1 stick of cinnamon
• 1 tsp black cardamon
• 1 can of tomatoes
• ½ cup water
