- 7g sachet fast-action dried yeast
- 500g strong white bread flour, plus extra for dusting
- ½ tsp mixed spice
- 40g light muscovado sugar
- 100g unsalted butter, at room temperature, plus extra for the tin
- 100g raisins
- 125g butter, softened
- 125g light muscovado sugar, sifted
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 500g marzipan (see tip below)
- 2 tbsp golden syrup
