Ingredients

• 1 onion, finely chopped
• 2 tablespoons (30 ml) butter
• 1/2 can 19 oz (540 ml) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
• 1 1/2 lb (750 g) medium-lean ground veal
• 2 tablespoons (30 ml) tomato paste
• 1 tablespoon (15 ml) Worcestershire sauce
• 1 cup (250 ml) fresh breadcrumbs
• 2 to 3 teaspoons (10 to 15 ml) dried basil
• 2 eggs
• Salt and pepper
• 1/2 cup (125 ml) ketchup
