• 2 cups of sifted all-purpose flour
• 1-1/2 cups of sugar
• 3 teaspoons of baking soda
• 1 teaspoon of salt
• 1/2 cup of Wesson Oil
• 7 unbeaten egg yolks
• 3/4 cup of water
• 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
• 1 cup of egg whites (7 or 8 medium sized eggs)
• 1/2 teaspoon of cream of tartar
• 2 squares of cooking chocolate
• 1/4 cup of hot water
• 1/4 cup of sugar
• 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda
