• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/8 teaspoon salt
• 1 3/4 cups (3 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature
• 2 1/3 cups granulated sugar
• 8 eggs
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 teaspoon orange zest
• Bourbon Orange Glaze (recipe follows)

• 3 tablespoons butter
• 1/4 cup orange juice
• 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
• 2 ounces bourbon whisky
