Meat and Mushroom Pasties

Ingredients

• 1 lb ground beef or venison
• 1 lb sliced mushrooms
• 1/2 cup chopped onion
• 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
• 1/2 cup chopped celery
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• 1/2 cup dark beer
• 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
• 1 tbsp cider vinegar
• 1 tsp crushed, dried savory
• 1/2 tsp salt and pepper
• 1/2 cup cold beef broth
• 1 tbsp cornstarch or arrowroot
