- 1 chicken
- 250 g pearled barley
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 2 large onions
- 4 large carrots
- 4 sticks of celery
- ½ a head of fennel
- 4 bay leaves
- 2 sprigs of thyme
- 5 cloves of garlic
- ½ finger of ginger
- 125 g BFS Captain's Masala Paste
- ½ preserved lemon
- juice of a lemon
- salt and pepper
- Greek yoghurt and chopped coriander leaf to serve
