Ingredients
- *DOUGH*
- 4 ounces reduced-fat cream cheese (at room temp, 1/2 cup)
- 5 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter (at room temp)
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- *FILLING*
- 6 fresh plums (pitted, and sliced, about 3 3/4 c)
- 1/3 cup light brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, finely grated
- 1 large egg (beaten with 1 tsp water)
- *ALTERNATE FILLING:*
- 4 Braeburn apples (or Golden Delicious), peeled, cored and sliced 1/8" thick
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons butter, cut in small pieces
