Bourbon Pecan Pie - Once Upon a Chef

Ingredients

• 1 unbaked homemade pie crust,
• 5 tablespoons unsalted butter
• 2/3 cup (packed) dark brown sugar
• 2/3 cup light corn syrup
• ½ cup golden syrup ((such as Lyle’s or King))
• 3 large eggs, (at room temperature)
• 2 tablespoons bourbon
• 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
• ½ teaspoon salt
• 2½ cups pecan halves,
• Beaten egg, (milk, or cream, for brushing the edges)
• Unsweetened whipped cream or vanilla ice cream
