Ingredients
- 1 ounce fresh yeast or 1 ½ tablespoons active dry yeast
- 1 cup lukewarm water + 3 tablespoons, divided
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar, divided
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- Zest of 1 lemon
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- 2 tablespoons vanilla sugar or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large egg yolks
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 ½ cup walnuts, finely ground
- 7 tablespoons granulated sugar
- ½ cup golden raisins
- ½ cup vegetable oil, for shaping
- 1 large egg, beaten
- Sugar, to sprinkle on top
