- 50g black treacle
- 50g syrup from a jar of stem ginger, or golden syrup
- 100g light brown sugar
- 150g plain flour
- 50g wholemeal flour
- 1tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 1tsp ground ginger
- 1/2tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2tsp ground coriander
- 1/2tsp mixed spice
- 1/4tsp salt
- demerara sugar, to dredge
