• 1 cup drained and rinsed canned chicken peas
• Half of a small yellow onion, chopped
• 2 Tbsp chopped flat leaf parsley
• 2 Tbsp chopped cilantro
• 1 tsp baking powder
• 1 tsp ground cumin
• 1 tsp kosher salt
• 1 lemon zest and juice
• 4 to 6 Tbsp chickpea flour
• Vegetable oil for deep frying
