Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp ghee (or oil)
  • 4 Chicken legs
  • 5 Garlic cloves (whole)
  • 1 tsp Middle eastern 7-spice
  • 1 Whole onion
  • 3 Bay leaves
  • 2 cardamom pods
  • 1 Cinnamon stick
  • 6 cups Water
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Salt (more to taste)
  • 2 cups of the broth
  • 1 pk frozen Mlookhiya (400g)
  • 1 cup Spinach (finely chopped)
  • Salt & black pepper (to taste)
  • 1/2 of a chicken boullion cube (optional)
  • 1-2 tbsp ghee
  • 5-6 Garlic cloves (minced)
  • 2 tbsp Cilantro (sub with 1 tsp ground coriander)
  • 2-3 Fresh Lemons (garnish)
  • Hot sauce (garnish)
  • Jalapeño (garnish)
