• 1 1/4 pounds peeled and deveined large shrimp (26 to 30 per pound), tails removed
• 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
• 1/8 teaspoon salt
• 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

• 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
