Irish Corned Beef and Cabbage | The Single Gourmand

Ingredients

• 4 pounds corned beef brisket and the pickling spice packet that comes with it.
• 2 cloves garlic
• 1 large onion, cut into quarters
• 2 bottles Irish stout beer
• ¼ cup Irish whiskey
• 2 carrots, cut into 3 or 4 pieces
• 2 ribs of celery cut into 3 or 4 pieces
• 2 potatoes, washed, unpeeled, and quartered
• 1 quarter head of cabbage
