Ingredients

• 2 1/2 cups flour
• 2 tablespoons sugar
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 stick cold butter, cut into small pieces
• 4 tablespoons Crisco or butter, cut into small pieces
• 2 1/2 pounds apples (we like to use different varieties, see tart, some sweet), peeled and sliced
• 2 tablespoons flour
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• 2/3 cup sugar (mixture of turbinado and white)
• 1-2 tablespoons fresh lemon or lime juice
