- 1 lb beef/pork – fairly lean cut – I used beef round eye roast
- ½ cup cold water
- 3 ice cubes
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- ½ tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon white pepper
- ½ tablespoon vegetable/canola oil
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon MSG (optional)
