• 1 onion, thinly sliced
• 2 tsp salt
• 1 tsp black pepper
• 1 tsp onion salt
• 4 cloves garlic
• 1/4 cup all purpose flour
• 2 cups heavy cream
• 7 sprigs thyme
• 1 cup sour cream
• 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, grated
• 1 1/2 cups gouda, grated
