• ¾ cup sugar
• 1 egg
• 1 egg yolk
• ¾ tsp vanilla essence
• 1½ cups flour
• ½ tsp baking powder
• ½ tsp baking soda
• ¾ tsp cinnamon
• Pinch of ginger
• Pinch of nutmeg
• ½ tsp salt
• ¼ cup whole milk
• 1½ cups carrots, grated
• 1 cup chopped pecan nuts
• Ready-made cream cheese icing
• Edible flowers for garnish (optional)
