• 3 bay leaves
• 28 ounce canned beef broth
• ½ cups carrot
• ½ cups celery
• 1 cup dry red wine
• 1 tablespoon fresh thyme
• 4 garlic cloves
• 1 pound ground pork
• 1 pound ground veal
• some olive oil
• some parmesan cheese
• 1 pound pasta
• 2 slices thick-cut diced bacon
• 1.5 cups canned tomato puree
• 1 cup yellow white onion
