Ginger Cake

Ingredients

• 1 ½ Cups Water (or stout beer or milk)
• 3 tsp Baking Soda
• 6 oz Finely Grated Fresh Ginger
• 1 ½ Cups Molasses (12 oz)
• 1 ½ Cups Granulated Sugar (300 g)
• 1 ¼ Cups Vegetable Oil
• 5 ¼ C All-Purpose Flour (525 g)
• 1 ½ tsp Cinnamon
• ¾ tsp Ground Black Pepper
• ¾ tsp Cardamom
• ½ tsp Ground Cloves
• ½ tsp Ground Nutmeg
• 3 Large Eggs
